“From Child Prodigy to Rising Country Star”
Special message from the artist herself: “Hi…this is Electa!“ The following biography will let you learn a little about all the wonderful things that have happened to me over the past 10 years. But the main thing that you need to know about me is that my music is my passion and my friends and fans are my lifeblood. Come along and let’s get to know each other better!” With love, Electa Winter Born and raised in the Netherlands, Electa was accepted into the “Willy B-Kids” youth choir at the tender age of 8, even though the rules said she was a year too young to even be entering! And this brilliant and talented, beautiful little girl has been breaking down barriers ever since with her remarkable voice and charismatic performances. She wrote her first song at 12 and released her first of several “copy” CD’s the very next year. She immediately started getting airplay all over Europe and the southwest United States. While performing at the Zevenbergen Festival in the Netherlands, a John Melissen production, Electa had the good fortune of catching the ear of producer Don Jones, CEO of Misty Records who was in Europe on a promotional trip. Don Jones (Misty Records) And in 2000, Misty Records brought her to Texas for her first American tour. And Texans embraced her so much she was bought back in the summer of 2004 and again in late summer/early fall of 2006. A special note for all her friends and fans in Texas…. Electa will be returning for a spring concert tour in 2007 to promote her new CD, “Heart to Heart”, her first full production of original music recorded in Tennessee. You can listen to sound bites of the album here on this site and keep an eye out for venue dates for the 2007 tour. Not only did her Texas audiences fall in love with this remarkable young artist but she fell in love with them too. And after her 2006 tour…she was completely “Texanized”!! She was introduced to the wonders of Wal-Mart and “the mall”, and being the shopping fool that she is…. Well, need we say more? “Heart to Heart” is an extraordinary CD…and Electa gives an electrifying performance on every cut.Her favorite song on the album is “Mama Did Raise One Fool After All”, which garnered her multiple encores when she introduced it on her last tour. Misty also features a bonus track on the CD…a duet with her label mate and close friend, Wesley Ialacy…a hot little two stepping song, “If You're Going Dancing”.
